You can put stuff in my ask box, but I'm unlikely to answer on the blog. I will probably just put the answer in your ask box. If you really want to have a conversation, I'm always on Twitter.

Lea Salonga,
Live In Singapore 2009

blues2broadway:

Here’s Lea Salonga singing Everybody Says Don’t.

Now I readily admit that, on average, women cannot do everything men can - there are some biological limitations - but I get incredibly upset when I am told, “You shouldn’t do it, you are a girl!”. Who sets the (insert expletives)* rules?

*I made the mistake of telling my priest that my Lenten promise this year is to swear less often. My priest believes that a commitment at Lent is a commitment for life. To be fair I made this commitment myself.

There are times when she sounds eerily like Bernadette Peters.

Lea Salonga,
The Journey So Far

I am pretty much in love with Lea Salonga’s new album, The Journey So Far, and I’m not just saying that because I got a free copy. (That’s called disclosure, everybody!) Read a fuller review (and listen to another track) at my other Tumblr.

Lea Salonga and John Barrowman - One Hand, One Heart (from West Side Story)

This is a bootleg recording from a Leonard Bernstein tribute concert in 2005 in Munich, Germany.

I believe this is the first appearance of “One Hand, One Heart” on Fuck Yeah Stephen Sondheim.
